The history of the king gun

The king gun was created in 1586 by the master Andrei Chokhov on the task of the son of Ivan the Terrible Fedor Ivanovich. The caliber of the gun is 890 mm, and the weight is about 40 tons, there are no guns in the world. After the manufacturer, the gun was set by the Kremlin's Spruce Gate, it is probably intended to use it to protect them. However, did not have to. Peter I, who created the repository of ancient and trophy weapons, drew on the weapon, where the king cannon was placed. The giant gun was watered to the pedestal in 1835, two years earlier than the king of the bell, she took its current location in the 1960s.
