Financial guarantees upon receipt of a Greek visa

From non-working persons who cannot confirm their financial security by bank documents, a letter of sponsor will be required. The letter is made by hand, in it the sponsor undertakes to pay the applicant's trip to the countries of the Schengen Agreement, including Greece. The sponsor signs the document, be sure to indicate the period of the trip, date of registration. The writer's financial documents are attached to the letter (employer's certificate, account statement), a copy of the sponsor passport and a document confirming the fact of kinship with a sponsor.

Persons under 18 will need to provide: the original and a copy of the birth certificate. If a child goes accompanied by one of the parents - notarized permission to depart the child from another parent.

If a child rides without parents - a notarial agreement to depart the child, certified, besides the apostil, from both parents, as well as copies of all pages of their Russian passports. Passport details of parents are made at the power of attorney, the address according to registration, the data of the accompanying child face (name, passport data), the purpose of the trip (tourism), the dates of the trip.

In case the visa is requested only to the child, photocopies of the active Schengen visas will be required.

Attention! Original documents transferred to the visa and notarial copies remain in the consulate, so in advance or a second original or a notarized copy of the permission to leave the child, which will need to be present when crossing the border.

How to get a visa to Greece yourself

To design a visa to Greece, they will also need:

  • Medical insurance with minimal insurance coverage of 30,000 euros, operating in the territory of the countries of the Schengen Agreement for the entire period of stay (original and photocopy of the policy).
  • Confirmation of hotel armor (original or electronic copy of the seal of the hotel and the signature of the responsible person).

Without the design of a Schengen visa (under certain conditions and from June to September (inclusive)), you can visit some of the Aegean Sea Islands: Samos, Chios, Kos, Rhodes, Lesbos.

  • Purchase tour from the Turkish company

For a trip to the island, a single visa is drawn up (its cost is also 35 euros). The visa is issued for a period of 15 days and it is impossible to visit the mainland part of Greece.

Visiting Athos is possible only for male people. Tourists-pilgrims need a special resolution (diagonirion). There is such a resolution of 4 days. You can get it on your own, but it is better to use the services of operators that organize pilgrimage trips to the holy mountain.

Visa cost in Greece

As of November 2017, the consular fee for issuing a Schengen visa to Greece is 2380 rubles (which is equivalent to 35 euros).

Payable in rubles in cash or on the map, directly on the day of submission of documents.
