That's what is allowed to import in Greece:

  • alcohol (1 l of drinks is above 22% or 2 liters of drinks below 22%), tobacco products (up to 200 cigarettes, 100 cigarill or 50 cigars). Naturally, this is only permitted for adults. These figures concern those who are traveling from Russia or another non-EU country. Those who are traveling from EU countries can take with them twice as much tobacco products and 10 times more alcohol,
  • 500 gr coffee (either 200 grams of coffee extract), 100 gr Tea (or 40 grams of tea extract),
  • up to 10 kg of food and beverages, up to 2 kg of children's and specialized nutrition,
  • products for personal use in the amount of up to 175 € for an adult and 90 € for a child,
  • sports equipment (subject to its mandatory export),
  • one camera and camcorder,
  • perfume: Spirits - 50 ml, toilet water, cologne - 250 ml (for EU countries there are no restrictions).

All this is not subject to a duty. But if you import these goods in more quantities, you will have to pay 3.5% of the custom value + VAT.

What can not be imported to Greece

Greece is forbidden to import (and exported) drugs, weapons, ammunition, explosives and poisoning substances, plants in ground, rare animals, pornography, any items made from endangered species of animals and plants. Punishment is rather harsh - from the fine to arrest.
